Founding of Sales (Sarine)

Sales is a farming village living from livestock and cereals. The knights of Ependes held rights over its land, and the village always belonged to the parish of Ependes. From 1177 to 1602 the hospice of the Great St Bernard owned a priory here. Sales was united with Ependes in 1977, then entered with it into the municipality of Bois-d'Amont (merger of 2021), where it remains a village of the same name.[1][2][3]
