Origin of the name Bremblens
First written mention in 1177 in the form «Bremblens». The origin of the name is not explained by the sources consulted.
Founding of Bremblens
The sources consulted say neither when nor by whom the village was founded. It appears in 1177, when the abbey of Lac de Joux owned land and vineyards there. In 1246 the bishop of Lausanne bought Bremblens back from the chapter of Besançon. The church, which dates from the 13th century, was a parish church in 1228.

1453. The church is a daughter church of Saint-Germain (Bussigny-près-Lausanne) and of Lonay.
1536. Bernese conquest and Reformation: the church becomes a Protestant temple and depends on the parish of Lonay; the village belongs to the bailiwick of Morges.
1675. The lordship of Aclens, to which Bremblens belongs, is bought by the town of Morges.
1798. Bremblens becomes part of the district of Morges.
1809. The church tower is rebuilt and the church extended to the west.
1873. A bell is cast by Gustave Treboux of Vevey (to be cross-checked).
early 1970s. The general council rejects a zone for apartment blocks and prefers a zone for detached houses.
2000. The municipality has 360 inhabitants.

Historic sites in Bremblens
Bremblens church (temple). 13th-century church, a parish church in 1228, which became a Reformed temple in 1536. The tower was rebuilt in 1809. Restorations took place in 1966-1971 (exterior), 1975-1976 (interior) and 1988-1990 (tower) (to be cross-checked).
