Founding of La Corbatière
La Corbatière is one of the hamlets of the long street village of La Sagne, together with Les Cœudres, Le Crêt, Miéville and La Sagne-Église, in the eastern part of the valley of La Sagne and Les Ponts-de-Martel; it belongs to the municipality of La Sagne. No founder or founding date specific to the hamlet is known. For the municipality as a whole, land clearing certainly began in the 11th or 12th century, and La Sagne is first mentioned in 1332. In the 20th century the hamlet became a small family ski area at the foot of the Roche aux Crocs, between La Vue-des-Alpes and La Chaux-de-Fonds.
