Origin of the name Bressonnaz

Founding of Bressonnaz

The sources consulted do not say when or by whom the hamlet was founded. Bressonnaz belongs to the municipality of Syens, south of Moudon, which comprises the village of Syens and the hamlet of Bressonnaz. According to swisstopo's nomenclature, the name Bressonnaz also designates neighbouring places in the municipalities of Moudon (Bressonnaz) and Vulliens (Bressonnaz-Dessus and Bressonnaz-Dessous), while the locality Les Moulins de Bressonnaz lies in the municipality of Syens.
